This workshop provides a concise overview of essential communication skills for Pilates instructors, focusing on how these skills impact clients, with a specific emphasis on removing filler and non-words, as well as repeat cues.

Participants will leave with practical skills they can immediately apply to improve their teaching effectiveness, while also being encouraged to explore further learning opportunities through the Foundations and Comprehensive Workshops.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Gain an Overview of Essential Communication Skills: Understand the fundamental role of communication in Pilates instruction and how it can significantly impact your effectiveness as a teacher.

  • Explore the Basics of Vocal Foundations: Learn the importance of tone, pitch, volume, and pacing, and how these elements can be used to enhance clarity and connection in your teaching.

  • Understand the Power of Body Language: Discover how posture, gestures, facial expressions, and eye contact can be leveraged to create a more engaging and authoritative presence in your classes.

  • Identify and Reduce Non-Words and Filler Words: Begin the process of recognizing and eliminating non-words, filler words, and repetitive cues to improve the precision and impact of your communication.

  • Introduce the 5 Pilates Teacher Archetypes: Get a brief introduction to the Pilates Teacher Archetypes and how they can be applied to your teaching style, setting the stage for deeper exploration in the Foundations and Comprehensive Courses.

  • Encourage Continued Learning and Mastery: Highlight the benefits of furthering your communication skills through the Pilates IT Factor Foundations and Comprehensive Courses, with a focus on mastering the art of effective communication.

Additional Course Elements:

  • Comprehensive Guide: Participants will receive a comprehensive guide of course notes after the course, providing a detailed reference to reinforce their learning.

  • Workbook: A dedicated workbook will be provided for use after the workshop, allowing participants to journal their progress and stay on track.

Certificate of Completion: Upon completing the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion, including NPCP CECs earned during the course and follow-up coaching sessions.
